Mrs Mary Oakley


Our wonderful mum, Mary Oakley, passed away from this life at the great age of 97 years. Daughter of the late Nellie and George. Wife of the late Arthur; Mother of Carol, Howard and the late Christine. Beloved Nan to Neil and Steph, Simon and Justine, Daniel and Anna, Nichola and Gary. Devoted great gran to Lauren, Harriet, Olivia, Meisha, Jack and Kody. Mother-in-Law to Sue and the late Richard.

She was our lifeline and will be heartbreakingly missed.

The funeral will take place on Friday 22nd November 2019 with a service and committal at Dukinfield Crematorium at 11.00 am.

Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, to Oakford Manor Residents’ Fund.

David Jackson


Passed away at home on Tuesday 12th November 2019 aged 75. He leaves his dear wife Marion and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

The service and committal will be held at Dukinfield Crematorium on Monday 25th November 2019 at 2.00 pm. There will be a celebration of David’s life at Windy Harbour, Glossop, afterwards.

Family flowers only please with donations in lieu, if desired, to the National Heart and Lung Institute Foundation.

Annie Doreen Richardson


Annie passed away peacefully at Stepping Hill Hospital on the 13th November 2019 aged 96 years of Chisworth. Annie leaves a very loving family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday 26th November 2019 with a service at Chisworth Methodist Church at 12.15 pm and will be followed by a committal at Dukinfield Crematorium at 1.30 pm.

Family flowers only and donations if desired to The Bureau, Glossop.

Mr Michael Lomas


The death occurred suddenly on the 13th November 2019 of Mr Michael Lomas aged 48 years of Glossop. Michael was surrounded by his very loving family and will be sadly missed by all family, friends and all who knew him.

The funeral will take place on Thursday 28th November 2019 with a service at Glossop Central Methodist Church at 12 noon and will be followed by an interment at Glossop Cemetery at 1.00 pm.

All flowers are welcome and donations if desired to Cancer Research UK.

Linda Crookes


The death occurred peacefully at Pennine Care Centre, Glossop, on the 18th November 2019 of the late Linda Crookes aged 83 years. Linda leaves her very loving family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The funeral will take place with a service and committal at Dukinfield Crematorium on Friday 29th November 2019 at 9.30 am.

Family flowers only but donations if desired to the WI (Womens Institute).

Graham Peter Bowler


The death occurred peacefully at Tameside General Hospital, Ashton-under-Lyne, on the 13th November 2019 of Mr Graham Bowler aged 58 years of Gamesley. Graham leaves his beloved wife Sharon, loving sons Stephen, Warren, Christopher and Lee; loving Grandchildren, Jake, Lacy, Esme, Jaxon and Ebony. Graham was a loving son to Peter and the late Helen, he leaves a very loving family and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The funeral will take place on Friday 29th November 2019 with a service and committal at Dukinfield Crematorium at 2.00 pm.
